Image of national emblem of India

The emblem of India is an adapted from the Lion Capital of Ashoka at Sarnath, which is preserved till now in the Sarnath Museum.
In the original Sarnath capital currently situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
There are four Asiatic lions standing back to back which  symbolizes power, courage, pride and confidence mounting on a circular abacus.
The abacus is girded with a frieze of sculptures of an elephant on the east, a horse on the south, a bull on the west,
and a lion on the north, separated by intervening wheels, over a lotus in full bloom
exemplifying the fountainhead of life and creative inspiration.
Carved out of a double block of polished sandstone, the capital is crowned by the Wheel of the Law (Dharma Chakra).

National Animal of India-Tiger

Tiger is scientifically known as Panthera tigris.
The tiger represents the symbol of India's wealth of wildlife.
The magnificent tiger or the Panthera tigris, is a striped animal.
It is a member of the Felidae family and the largest animal of the four ‘big cats’ which belongs to the Panthera genus.
It has a thick yellow coat of fur with combination of dark stripes.
The combination of grace, strength, agility and enormous power has earned the tiger its pride place as the national animal of India.
Among the eight races of the species known, the Indian race, the Royal Bengal Tiger,
is found throughout the country except in the north-western region and it also found in the neighbouring countries,

National bird of India Peacock

The peacock was declared the National Bird of India in 1963,because of its rich religious and legendary involvement in Indian traditions.
The criteria for this choice were many.
The bird must be well-distributed within the country so it could be truly 'national'.
It must be recognisable to the common man

It must lend itself to formal depiction, which means abstract depiction on government publications, etc. It must not be confused with the bird emblem of any other nation. It should be associated with Indian myths and legends. The peacock fulfills all the above characters and rules to be in national bird. The peacock belongs to "Pava Cristatus (linnaeus)" family which is a symbol of grace, joy, beauty and love.
Peacock is a colorful swan-sized bird with a fan-shaped crest of feathers on its head,

white patch under the eye and having a long slender neck.

National flower of India

Lotus is scientifically known as Nelumbo Nucifera which is the      National Flower of India. It is a sacred flower and occupies a unique position in the art and mythology of ancient
India and has been an auspicious symbol of Indian culture since ancient time which is immemorial.
The lotus always grows in ponds with a layer of moss or mud on top of the water.
This symbolizes that, even when it is surrounded by dirt and impurity, it can still grow proud and beautiful.
A single lotus growing in a pond can make even the moss and mud look beautiful.
In the same way, Indians should strive to rise up and grow proud and beautiful even when they are surrounded by impurity or ill faith.
Likewise they should endeavor to make our surroundings not just our
physical but also our mental, emotional and spiritual surroundings, also more beautiful.
